Cheyenne Goguen

Cheyenne Goguen

I struggled to come to terms with why pancreatic cancer took my dad, Rheal Goguen. The Tribute page I set up had a huge impact on me, allowing me to focus on being proactive. I’ve been able to fundraise for a cause I am passionate about, and offer people who love my father to share their thoughts. They are helping me realize I am not alone and can have an impact.

Mike Smith & Cheryl Vosburg

For our wedding, rather than taking gifts (who needs another toaster) we decided to create a fundraiser for pancreatic cancer. Using our fundraising page, our guests could go in and make donations in honor of our loved ones: sister Laura and mom Nina. We wanted to remember them in a meaningful way, and it made us happy that others wanted to help us do that.

Lacrosse Team Wage Hope My Way

Kevin McGee

Kevin McGee, a senior goalie on his high school lacrosse team, helped put together a Cancer Awareness Night at which rival high schools each played for a cause meaningful to them. Kevin’s team played for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network — his dad was diagnosed with the disease — and raised much needed awareness and funds during a lively matchup.

Lone Jumper polar plunge

Pam Kemper (and friends)

Pam Kemper and her friends dared each other to jump into a lake one chilly New Year’s Day as a way to raise money for charity. For seven years now, people of all ages have joined the ever-growing group for the annual polar plunge, braving icy water to start the New Year off right while raising money to fight pancreatic cancer.
