Ira Schnagel was a man who wore many hats, unfortunately cancer survivor wasn't one of them. After fighting a good fight, he lost his year-long battle to pancreatic cancer on July 20th 2016.
One of the worst things about pancreatic cancer is how undetectable it is. Because of this, early intervention and even prevention is almost unheard of. His family and friends can't help but think how much more time he could have had if he had received a diagnosis earlier.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network specializes in pancreatic cancer research and one of their biggest fundraising events is the PurpleStride 5k. These are national events held at the local level for anyone to attend or donate to in an effort to help pancreatic cancer research progress.
Our team, Ira's Angels, is raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in the PurpleStride 5k in Boca Raton on November 19, 2017.
We are asking for donations to our team, to support the efforts of doubling survival for this deadly disease by 2020 and to honor an amazing man. There are various ways for you to participate. Please join our team and walking for Ira. Your participation fee is applied directly to our fundraising goal. If walking isn't your thing, you can still help by making a dontation to our team directly.
From all of his angels to all of you, thank you and God bless.
