Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
Christine Anne Nederhand, a beloved wife, mother, oma, sister, and friend, lost her battle against pancreatic cancer on January 19, 2017. Like so many others diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the time between Christine's diagnosis and death was far too short. Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. Christine, though short in stature, was a strong woman who loved fiercely. This love was not limited to just her family. It extended to all she befriended. Her caring nature led many, in addition to her own four grandchildren, to affectionately refer to her as "Oma".
In honor of Christine, Oma, our team has decided to step up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. We would love for you to help us change the future of this disease by joining our fundraising team, walking or running with us in Charlotte on September 9, sharing this page, or personally donating to our fundraising goal.
Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.
