Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
This is Chris's Gang 10th Year of Participating and Volunteering at the Atlanta PurpleStride!
Our family was not looking to be involved in the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. In 2008 pancreatic cancer found us when Chris- mom, sister, aunt, gamma, wife, daughter, and friend loved by so many- was diagnosed with this hideous disease, which is basically a death sentence. Since our first PurpleStride at Grant Park that year, we have been involved as volunteers, runners, walkers, and fundraisers helping raise awareness and support. This year will mark our 10th straight year of involvement. Although we lost Chris in 2009, we do this not only to honor her memory, but also to fight for all those who are currently or will be fighting pancreatic cancer. We want to make a difference. This cancer needs to be stopped-- there is no early diagnosis; no good treatment; and no cure.
Please join our team, come to the race, or make a donation. Anything you can do to raise awareness is appreciated.
