Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
PurpleStride Portland is September 23, 2017!
Team Millruzzi is raising funds to fight pancreatic cancer in memory of Michelle Petruzzi, who passed away in 2016 at the age of 36. Michelle, her husband Justin Miller, and many of their friends jokingly referred to their family as the Millruzzis.
Michelle was a generous giver of her time with many volunteer efforts, a world traveler, a dedicated wife, daughter, and aunt, and a lover of adventure and beauty. She was constantly improving herself, trying new things, and giving to others. You can read more about Michelle in her obituary: http://standstrongwith.us/2016-05-03/
We are working with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in an effort to double survival rates for the disease by 2020. Of particular interest to us is early screening and detection, something that could have gone far in helping diagnose Michelle long before her Stage IV disease was finally discovered. Pancreatic cancer is often dubbed "the silent killer" because of its lack of symptoms and ability to affect anyone and for reasons we barely understand.
Please make a donation today and help us to reach our fundraising goal! PanCAN does amazing work, directly funding pancreatic cancer research, lobbying for increased research funding and focus, and connecting patients and caregivers with resources to help them fight.
