Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
My daddy, Rick Meyer lost his battle to pancreatic cancer on August 29, 2019. But man did he fight hard, his will to live was truly inspiring. He went through 16 rounds of chemotherapy, he suffered from an infection in his liver that caused endocarditis and he had many strokes. I know he fought for my siblings and I, as well as his wife and all of his friends and family. He is definitely gone way too soon, I miss him so much. This year we walk in his memory, and in hope to gain resources to help present and future patients. Please join team Meyer and walk with us again this year.
Last years tribute...
My sweet daddy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on August 22, 2018. I will never forget that phone call. As anyone who has a loved one battling cancer will know, it is a very difficult disease to watch. I often feel helpless, and I just wish I could save him. Although we can't fight the battle for him, we can certainly fight with him. We can raise money for research and development and we can walk at the Purple Stride Atlanta walk to end pancreatic cancer. We can walk to show him that we love and support him and that he is not alone in this. He just completed his fourth round of chemotherapy and is working on gaining his strength back. He is determined and motivated. I will walk to honor him and any victim of this horrible disease. I would love if you would walk with us. Register under team Meyer.
