Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
On Sunday, August 18, 2019 our family got news that our Mom had stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer & it has spread to her liver, lungs, kidney, spleen & bones. Mom decided she wanted to go home with hospice care & spend time with her family. The night of September 4th, 2019 would be the last time our Mom (coherently) spoke to us. On the morning of Thursday, September 5, 2019 Mom suffered a stroke & several seizures and entered into a hospice facility. On Sunday, September 8th, 2019 our family & friends all gathered to bid our farewell to our beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, & friend. At 6:00pm our Mom took her final breath as we prayed around her & played her favorite Juan Gabriel song, “No Tengo Dinero”. Mom, you were taken from us so fast, but our love for you will forever be in our hearts!
