Hamner's Superheroes

Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer

We lost Eddie in January 2018 after a 20 month battle with pancreatic cancer. He loved superheroes - all of them, and he became a real life superhero himself as he fought this terrible disease. He’ll live forever in our hearts and minds with so many treasured memories. Hamner’s Superheroes is dedicated to him and to his memory.

This picture was taken at our first Purple Stride walk in November 2018 with special family members and friends wearing capes and fun hats in Eddie’s honor. This year my hope is to see our team grow and have many more family and friends join the walk to honor Eddie and all those that are fighting the battle now and also those that have lost their brave battle.

Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd leading cause of cancer related death in the US and has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This is a terrible, terrible disease and what it does to a person is unimaginable.

Team Hamner's Superheroes was formed to step up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. If you are able, please help by joining our team or making a donation today. Any amount would be appreciated.

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.

Please join us in the fight today.

Thank you - the family of Eddie Hamner
