Julianna's Joyful Joggers

Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer

As you all know, my precious mother passed from pancreatic cancer about three and half years ago. Unfortunately, I cannot bring her back, but I can help other families who are suffering through this horrible cancer. Please join us in running or walking in honor of my amazing mother. I decided to name our team, "Julianna's Joyful Joggers," because my mom was always saying, "Choose Joy!"

This year, my daughter, Julianna, will get to participate in honor of her Granny. It breaks my heart that this disease stole her Granny from her. I know that my mom is looking down on her with love, but this walk means more to me now. Though I pray that Julianna and I will never experience this horrible disease, I am fighting for a better outcome for our future and others. I pray that doctors can find away to diagnose and treat pancreatic cancer more quickly and effectively.

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.

Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
