Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
Our team is raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in PurpleStride in Portland on September 28 at the Oregon Convention Center Plaza.
By making a donation to our team, Remembering Doug, you are supporting efforts to double survival for this deadly disease by 2020. Currently the survival rate is a mere 9%. As you may not know, Doug died of a rare neuroendocrine carcinoma of the pancreas that had spread to his liver. He had no symptoms for this cancer until it had spread extensively. He lived 2 years 8 months after his diagnosis. Research is being done on these cancers around the US by caring individuals, including our son Braden, and we need to help those dedicated researchers continue to explore how best to treat this disease to prolong life and increase survivor rates. By donating to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, we can make a difference in the lives of others who are struck by this sneaky disease.
Please make a donation today and help us reach our fundraising goal! If you aren't in a position to give right now, no worries! But by all means take a look at the good work the researchers are doing for anyone who might be in this situation in the future. Let's wage hope to end pancreatic cancer.
