Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
On Sunday, October 27, several members of our family will be participating in the PurpleStride Walk in Seattle to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research. We will be walking in honour of Judy Terry, our wife/mother/grandmother, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2018 and who has been fighting with incredible strength, grace, grit, and faith ever since. She truly inspires us all! We'll also be walking in honour and in memory of thousands upon thousands of others who are battling and who have battled this brutal disease.
Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest 5-year survival rates of any cancer at just 9 percent. It is presently the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US, but by next year, it is expected to be the second. Yet despite these devastating statistics, funding for pancreatic cancer research remains astonishingly low.
Our family's team, "We Love Judy!," has stepped up to #WageHope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?Every dollar you donate will go directly to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), a research & advocacy foundation with which Judy's oncologist, Dr. Picozzi, is deeply involved, and which has already been a tremendous support to our family this year. Every donation equips PanCAN to continue working tirelessly for better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
We would be so grateful for your partnership in this effort to #WageHope, and we appreciate any donation you are able to make today!
With much thanks and love,
Bob, Ellen, Joe, Madeleine, Zoe, Lauren, Allison & Henry
