Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
It's that time of year again and this year the 5K will be at Chastain Park in Sandy Springs! We have a chance to make a difference in the fight again Pancreatic Cancer. I feel so blessed that so many amazing friends and family members have participated and donated in the past and I know that we can make this year's 5K even better! Please feel free to invite any of your friends and family to join our team. I know it seems like November is a long time from now but we want to be able to raise as much money as possible and recruit a lot of team members.
As you know, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer 9 years ago and I'm thrilled to be cancer free for over nine years now. I know how lucky I am and want to help those who aren't as fortunate in their battle.
Did you know that more than 45,000 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year? The five-year survival rate is just 9%, and we recently learned that pancreatic cancer is anticipated to move from the fourth to the second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. by 2020. These statistics needto change, but I can’t do it alone.
This is why I'm asking you to join me at PurpleStride Atlanta on November 9th!There are two ways to help me make a difference. You can register to run or walk the 5K or you can donate to my page.
I can't wait to have you join the team and help us work toward a cure! Through a team effort we can have a greater impact in the fight against this disease.
