Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
In October of 2018, my dad went in for a routine kidney stone check and through an MRI scan, was told he had stage 4 Pancreatic cancer; it had already spread to his liver. He fought as hard as he could, through four chemotherapy treatments. Fortunately, our entire family was able to visit him on a regular basis and really made the most of the time we had left; for that, we are so grateful. On May 17, 2019, my dad succumbed to his illness. We miss him terribly but are so grateful he is not suffering. We can't wait to be reunited again someday.
