November, 2019 marks the six year anniversary of my successful surgery. I got lucky, but this shouldn't be about luck.
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. One of the reasons that pancreatic cancer is such a challenging disease is that it is frequently not diagnosed until the cancer has reached more advanced, aggressive stages. While progress is being made, currently there is no standard diagnostic test for early detection and prevention of pancreatic cancer.
I am walking on Saturday, November 9th, to raise money to support research for the development of a standard diagnostic test. Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. Please join me in this important cause.

You can do both! And of course there is the party.
