Please help me in my efforts to raise money for an important cause that I deeply care about. Here is my story:
Almost three years ago my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. After going through a surgery aimed to remove the tumor, he received chemotherapy. Pancreatic cancer is a tough illness; the five year survival rate of pancreatic cancer is 9 percent, which is the lowest survival rate out of all major cancers. Unfortunately about nine months ago my dad passed away. I stride to honor my dad and to help people in the future. We can make a difference. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network puts donations towards things like research, patient services, and government advocacy. With your help, we can meet the goal of doubling the survival rate by 2020.
To help my team out, you have several options:
1) You can donate directly to my PurpleStride team (Purple Power, team captain Leah Green).
2) You can join my team, create your own account, and do some fundraising.
3) You can sign up on my Purple Power team for the PurpleStride run/walk held in Scottsdale on the morning of April 6.
Any of these options would help out a lot!
Any donations are greatly appreciated in my effort to raise money for this cause. Let’s all come together and use our PURPLE POWER!
