Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
As many of you know my mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer early in 2017. She went through a couple rounds of Chemo and then had the Whipple surgery to remove the tumor on her pancreas. Things were looking good until the doc noticed a small spot on her lung. The biopsy confirmed that the spot on the lung is cancer. Another few rounds of Chemo again starting after Labor Day.
As of today, 3/3/19 she is still attending Chemo.
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.
