Walking for Walter

Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer

April 6th 2019 I and some relocated members of the Mineola fire department are participating in a fundraising walk for Pancreatic Cancer here in AZ in honor of our friend Walter Langer.

Walter was a dear friend and mentor to me during my “infant” years in the fire department and grew to be an amazing role model as I evolved into my adult life as a man and father. I can’t elaborate enough how far a reach Walters personality and character had. I aspire to be a fraction of the man he was and I am honored to do this in his name.

If you would like to join this team and walk with us but don’t live in AZ private message me on FB and I will gladly host you in my home.

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.

Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
