Wage Hope at PurpleStride. The walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
My Dad was diagnosed with a mass on his pancreas in September 2018. He was quickly scheduled with an appointment at Penn Medicine and John Hopkins and was guided with the best possible treatment plan for his tumor. We are continuing to become educated on the best treatment for him. This journey has opened my eyes to how important it is to have quick access to resources and individuals who can provide correct information for any substantial issues with the pancreas. Having access to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network has been a light to help guide us in the right direction when seeking treatment. I am fighting everyday for him and for a cure!
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.
