Why get involved! That is a question we had to ask ourselves before getting involved with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. As Tyler was thinking about his future while attending high school, we would all talk about how nice it would be to to help people. It was this spirit that we all started to think about when at the young ages of 9, 7 and 5, our grandmother, or as we liked to call her Uma, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. At the age of 67, she lost a short-lived battle with this deadly disease and we still talk and think about her every day.
This is our fourth year raising money to help fight pancreatic cancer and it is a special time for us to reflect on our Uma in a more special way. We hope to be able to continue this tradition of helping others especially those affected by this disease.
That's where you come in, by donating, you could help fund research, provide support for patients and caregivers, and most importantly create HOPE! To donate, please click on the link below, which will take you to our personal page. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
Together, we can help fight pancreatic cancer in our Uma’s memory.
We appreciate any donation you can make and invite you to join us and our team at the PurpleStride Walk on November 11, 2018 in Parsippany, NJ. More details are available on our home page.
Thank you for your support, Tyler Gentile Alison Gentile
P.S. As the cardinal has been a symbol that our family associates with the spirit of our Uma, we will continue to call our team The Cardinals.
