Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer

Donna Bowie, our Mom, passed away from pancreatic cancer on May 15, 2015.  A pancreatic cancer diagnosis is often a death sentence because by the time the cancer is detected, it's already stage 4.  When Mom was still alive, we did this fundraiser and I was so happy with the support of our family and friends.  So many people donated money and/or participated in the event.  I was so touched by all the support and I know that Mom felt cared for and loved.  After Mom passed away, I still participated in the event but didn't do any fundraising.  This year, I'd like to try to raise whatever I can for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  The people at pancan.org were so supportive and helpful when we were learning about pancreatic cancer, and they also helped me find clinical trials that we could discuss with Mom's doctors.  I genuinely appreciate anything you can give.  Our team name is "Donna's Love."  The reason for this name is simple.  If Mom loved you, you knew it.  I always knew that Mom loved me because she told me every single time I talked to her on the phone or saw her in person.  I knew that Mom loved me unconditionally.  I knew how she felt about me.  I never had any doubt.  Mom loved Heather and Mandy unconditionally.  Mom loved all 8 of her grandkids unconditionally.  Taylor, Brayden, Grayson, Adam, Jonathan, Derek, Jordan, and Camryn knew that Momma Bowie loved them.  That was always very clear.  I miss Mom.  I wish she was still with us.  I know, if you're reading this, you feel the same way.  This is one of the ways that I want to honor Mom.  I want to donate to the wonderful organization that helped me cope with this horrible disease.  Thank you for reading my thoughts.  Thank you for any donation that you can make.  Love, Steven
