We are participating in the MN PurpleRideStride again on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 in memory of Mike Sheffels, who rode with us the past two years. Mike was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer in March 2016. He stayed strong through 19 months of chemo but eventually the chemo stopped working and he died peacefully on Nov. 15, 2017, less than 2 months after biking 15 miles in the 2017 PurpleRideStride. He showed amazing strength and courage throughout his 20 month journey with pancreatic cancer and gave us all many wonderful memories to cherish.
Please join our team, Mike's Purple Alliance or donate to help raise funds to support research into finding new treatments and ways of detecting pancreatic cancer better. By supporting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, you will help give families hope who are facing this devastating diagnosis.
Come out to Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove, MN on Sept. 15, 2018 to ride, run or walk or make a donation today and help us reach our team goal of $2020! You can also join us as a virtual participant and do your walking or riding where you are or find a Purple Stride event in your state and participate!
