Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer

Dear Friends & Family,

Hello everyone! It is that time of year again.  Last year we raised over $5,000, thanks to all of your generosity and support.  I am starting early this year because last year we were the highest fundraising team and I was the highest fundraising individual, but didn't get our names on the T shirts because we didn't have the donations prior to the cut off date to have the shirts made.  It would be so special to have our names on the shirts.  I ask you to please to take a few minutes to join our team and/or make a donation now so we can accomplish our goals and get our name on the shirts.

This road this past year has been a little bumpy with my cancer re-occurrence.  I have completed 6 months of chemotherapy and am doing well. Praise God!!!   This was a wake-up call.  Pancreatic cancer is  hard to beat.  But, I will beat it.  I am determined to be the one to share my testimony about the fight, the hope and the wonders of Our Lord who has blessed and carried me through everything. I live and fight this terrible disease everyday because I know with continued research and new treatments they can find a cure.  I just need to hang in there until they discover it.

As all of you know, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer July 25, 2015. Over the past 3 years I learned how difficult it is to diagnose and treat this disease. Most people do not even know they have pancreatic cancer until it is in advanced stages and often can't be treated. Although, the medical community has made advancements in treating pancreatic cancer, they still have a long way to go. Pancreatic Cancer will kill more people than breast cancer this year, yet awareness remains low in communities across the country.

We need to bring awareness to this terrible disease and raise money for research. The 5 year survival rate has increased from 8% to 9%.  I know this doesn't sound like much, but every percent is a glimmer of hope.  There has been great progress over the past year thanks to so many of you for supporting the cause.

Since November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month it is a great time to join me in this fight. I would appreciate your support by either joining my team in the walk and/or by donating to our cause. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can join our team and/or make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message.

It has been a wonderful year!  God is good and I am blessed to have each of you and all of your prayers, love, and support!

Love & Blessings,
