Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
We are honoring the life of Sam Carlson MD, an amazing husband, father, grandfather, physician, mentor and leader who bravely battled pancreatic cancer. His battle ended this March but because of his love and example, our family has grown even closer despite this disease.
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly cancer has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination and hope for a cure. This is the fourth death from pancreatic cancer in our family (none blood related), and we are determined to help raise awareness and funding.
Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today? (It is hard for our family to ask for help but we believe so strongly in the fight to end this evil disease.) Please also consider joining our family on this important day. We would love to see you! September 15th, 2018 at Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove at 10:30 am.
Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.
Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
