On September 30th of 2016, Ted Deter was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He had no symptoms until a week before it was detected. He walked into the fire, fighting hard for fifteen months through many different kinds of chemotherapy, radiation, infections, horrific side affects, unimaginable pain and sickness. He never complained or felt sorry for himself. Ted lost his battle on December 7th of 2017. He is missed every single day. His race against pancreatic cancer is finished, but ours has just begun.
Team Ted On We Go ran our first PurpleStride in April of 2017 in Chicago. Ted was a proud survivor that day. This spring and summer with Ted in our hearts, we will be running several races to raise money for pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation or registering to run with our team today?
Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.
Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please help us win the fight against this horrible disease.
