On July 14, 2016, my beautiful mother was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I'll admit - prior to her diagnosis, I did not know much about the disease, and I certainly did not realize the widespread impact it has made on so many families across the world. Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%.
My mom passed away on March 14, 2017. She lived her life each and every day for the other people around her - always giving so much to those in need. Today, my family honors her by fighting this fight against pancreatic cancer and doing our part to raise awareness of the terrible disease so that one day, hearing the words "you have pancreatic cancer" will no longer be a death sentence.
Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.
Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
We love you Mom - and we will never give up this fight. Thank you, everyone.
