Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer
My mom, Mary Pat, found out she had Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer in August. She immediately went into treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering. After months of treatment, she was due for surgery in January 2018. All of her scans showed the chemotherapy had been shrinking her tumor, and we believed she would enter the operating room, and leave cancer free. Unfortunately, that was not the case. It was a devastating when we found out her surgeon had discovered that her cancer had metastasized to her liver, elevating her to Stage 4. Her doctors hadn't discovered the spread because it was microscopic.
Now she is going through a clinical trial of immunotherapy treatment at MSK. The treatment is grueling, but her sprits are up as we know a positive outlook can make all the difference.
Please join Team "MP STRONG" to assist Mary Pat in her fight against Pancreatic Cancer. We believe in the power of prayer and positivity, and together we can all help her beat this disease while contributing to the greater cause of a cure!
