Wage Hope to end pancreatic cancer

On January 11th, 2017 I was out doing a little pre-birthday celebration with some friends. My Mom kept calling over and over again. Typical of my Mom, she's always been persistent (I wonder where I get it). She would call me 12 times just to say hello. I finally picked up the phone and went into the bathroom to talk to her. The news that she delivered was devastating. Pancreatic cancer! In a few days, after the initial shock wore off, I spent hours researching every possible treatment and outcome. The realization that this was more than likely a quick death sentence was overwhelming. Well it is almost a year later and my Mom is still here! Many of you were there that night with me and others have met my Mom over the course of the past year. Some of you have known my Mom for years and other's for her entire life. She is a fighter! My Step-Dad and I are fighting with her. Her battle is our battle! We must find a cure!

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.

Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
