Welcome to Nick's Personal Page - Team Challenge Accepted
Anyone that knows me understands my personal connection with cancer. My father is a kidney cancer survivor. We lost my Mom to Stage IV colon cancer in 2010. Four years later we lost my cousin Deb to cancer suddenly. And my wife Jen has lost aunts and uncles to cancer.
On March 7th, 2017 my connection to cancer became even more personal as I ended up in the hospital with stomach and back pain. A ct scan revealed a mass on my pancreas that required more study. After seeing a few medical opinions and a biopsy, I was informed I had inoperable pancreatic cancer. My treatment plan to start is 6-months of chemotherapy.
I am a FIGHTER. Always have been...and ALWAYS will be. I am a runner and will continue logging thousands of miles in 2017 and beyond. My goal is to raise $20,000 & to build a team of supporters to run and/or walk with us on November 4th, 2017 in Philadelphia supporting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
The challenge with Pancreatic Cancer is that a blood test does not exist to diagnose it early. By making a donation, you are supporting efforts to double survival for this deadly disease by 2020.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
