Welcome to My Personal Page
Vicki participated in promising clinical trial at IU Simon Cancer Center. She endured 41 chemotherapy infusions over two years with grace and grit. In May 2018 she had very extensive surgery to remove half of her pancreas, an adrenal gland, her spleen, a section of her liver, some lymph nodes, and 20% of her stomach. All surgical margins looked clear. Five months later she received the devastating news that the cancer was back so she had to resume chemotherapy. Through it all, Vicki's positive attitude and strong faith serve as an inspiration to so many.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network has been a valuable source of information. Check out their website at www.pancan.org to see all that they offer to patients, caregivers, and the medical community.
PurpleStride is the walk to end pancreatic cancer. By making a donation, you are supporting Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's efforts to double survival for this deadly disease by 2020. We'd love to have you join our team. The event is on June 15 at 8:00 AM in Indianapolis at the White River Park. It is a beautiful experience to remember those we have lost and to WAGE HOPE for Vicki and other survivors. Click below to join our team or to make a donation.
