Cardinals - Tyler, Alison & Jason Gentile
Why get involved! That is a question I had to ask myself before getting involved with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. As I thought more and more about my future and what career path I wanted to pursue, I kept coming back to wanting to help people. I think this desire started in 2009 when at the young age of 9, my grandmother, or as I liked to call her Uma, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. At the age of 67, she lost a short-lived battle with this deadly disease and I still think about her every day.
Last year, my sister Alison joined me in this effort and this year our younger brother Jason wants to get involved. Ali and Jay were both very close to Uma and we still talk about the many great memories we shared with her.
By donating, you could help fund research, provide support for patients and caregivers, and most importantly create hope! To donate, please click on the link below, which will take you to our personal page. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
Together, we can help fight pancreatic cancer in our Uma’s memory.
We appreciate any donation you can make and invite you to join us and our team at the PurpleStride Walk on November 12, 2017 in Parsippany, NJ. More details are available on our home page.
Thank you for your support,
P.S. As the cardinal has been a symbol that our family associates with the spirit of our Uma, we will continue to call our team The Cardinals.
