in memory of Captain Carmel, my brother, my hero. Live to FIsh!

Friends, in 2015 I lost my brother to pancreatic cancer.  Carmel fought a heroic 11 month battle that included 23 rounds of chemotherapy, and faced his diagnosis with an open heart and undaunting courage.  Carmel was proud that family and friends came together and in 2014 raised more money for Pancreatic Cancer than any other team in Maryland.  In 2015  and 2016 we continued to be in the top three teams.  This year, we continue in honor of Carmel, and in honor of all those suffering from or lost to this disease.

Although one of the deadliest cancers pancreatic cancer continues to be the least funded.  Survival rates for pancreatic cancer remain in the single digits largely due to dismal funding and lack of a dedicated research strategy.  We must stop this trend.  To that end, I'm raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in PurpleStride.  And I'm asking you to join me.

By making a donation to me, you are supporting efforts to double survival for this deadly disease by 2020.

Please make a donation today -- for Carmel, and for all those touched by this horrific disease.
