My mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on July 11, 2012. It was a long, painful struggle for her and the family. She lost her battle on May 1, 2013. A day does not go by that I don't think of her. Losing her was the worst thing that ever happened to me. But I have a million memories of her that make me a better person. Since she lost her battle, I have been fighting for her in hopes that some day a cure can be found.
She was a strong Christian woman. Her work ethic was unrivaled. She loved the outdoors, flowers, and camping. Traveling was a passion of hers, and I was blessed to be a part of a few of those travels including to Missouri and St. Louis. I wouldn't say she was a sports buff, but it was her idea to go to tour Lambeau and would always go to a Brewers game. Her skills in the kitchen were tastey especially her deserts, and I am eternally grateful for her guidance in teaching me how to make jams and jellies.
I love my mom, and I miss her more than ever. What she had to go through was awful. It is for her that I stride. It is for her I am fighting this disease. It must be stopped. No one should have to go through so much suffering!
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. I appreciate all the support I get.
