Help Elijah raise $500.00

As some of you know, my dad, Brian Geise, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer just over 6 years ago. He was diagnosed in October of 2011 and passed in May of 2012, just 7 months later; unfortunately, this is the quite normal with pancreatic cancer.  In July of 2017, Patti Sprenkle, a friend and coworker of the diagnostic Imaging team at Carroll Hospital lost her battle with pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related death in both men and women in the US, but it is projected to be the 2nd leading cause by the year 2020. In 2018 it is estimated that 55,440 people in the US will be diagnosed and over 44,330 will die of this disease. *

74% of all patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer will die within 1 year.  The 5-year survival rate is an abysmal 8%. *

Each year I Wage hope against pancreatic cancer and do my part to change these grim statistics.  The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), have seen the following results and you can add to this:

·        The 5-year survival rate has increased by 3% since 2014

·        350 patients are making informed treatment decisions because of their enrollment in PanCANs personalized medicine service, Know Your Tumor ®

·        Since 1999, the National Cancer Institute funding for pancreatic cancer has been increased by 500%

·        More 1 million people nationwide have taken action and raised awareness and funding due to the thousands of volunteers that have inspired them.

·        135,000 patients, caregivers, and healthcare professional have reached out for support from PanCAN

Take action TODAY, with your support and donation WE can rewrite the future of this disease.
