In 1989, Todd Horne lost his mother to the disease. Then in 2015, Todd was diagnosed with stage II pancreatic cancer.

Editor’s Note: Todd lost his fight with pancreatic cancer, but his story continues to inspire others to Demand Better for patients and their families.

We stride because it's what "Papa Z" would have done. Creating Team Papa Z has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.

My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January of 2016. I’m committed to helping to ensure we reduce the pain and suffering of those who will also face this deadly disease.

Packet Pickup for PurpleStride Atlanta will take place on two separate days, each at a different Big Peach Running Co. location:

  • Thursday, November 15 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Big Peach Running Company - Marietta

  • Friday, November 16 from 11 a.m. - 3: p.m. at Big Peach Running Company - Midtown

Visit the Packet Pickup section on the Event Details page for links to directions as well as how to RSVP if you are a team captain. We have a very short registration window on event day so we are encouraging as many people as possible to pickup at packet pickup. Learn more.

We stride to make sure that other people have a chance, because a five year survival rate of 9 percent is unacceptable and because it's what "Papa Z" would have done.
