PurpleStride Northeastern PA 2017 Presented by Pizza by Pappas is back and better than ever! This year, our 5K run and family-friendly walk will take place on 06/10/2017, and will take participants on a lovely route at Lackawanna River Heritage Trail.
Register now and join us for a day filled with hope and inspiration to raise funds, awareness and support for pancreatic cancer!

Fundraising Challenge

We are thrilled to announce an exciting fundraising challenge!
The three teams that fundraise the most from May 18, 2017 to May 28, 2017 will be eligible to win a cash prize! The top fundraising team will win $750; the second highest fundraising team will receive $500; and the third highest fundraising team will receive $250 (prizes courtesy of Pizza by Pappas)!

Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup for PurpleStride Northeastern PA 2017 will take place on Friday, June 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Scranton Running.

We are pleased to welcome Peggy Lee as PurpleStride NEPA 2017 event emcee!
Peggy Lee joined the Newswatch 16 Team in October, 2008. She comes to WNEP after spending two years at WJZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Baltimore, MD; prior to that, Peggy worked in the country’s southeast region, reporting on the crime beat in Savannah, GA at WJCL-TV.

Emmaus High School is spreading awareness!

Emmaus High School and Southern Lehigh are using their rival lacrosse game to raise money for pancreatic cancer!

Thank you to the Red Sox, Quincy Mayor, Thomas Koch, & Governor Baker!

Red Sox President, Sam Kennedy, Governor Charlie Baker, and Mayor of Quincy, Thomas Koch, all shaved their heads to raise funds for cancer research in the Saving by Shaving event. A total of $5 million was donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
