It's Time to Wage Hope

TURN CAPITOL HILL PURPLE NOV. 13

Dear Friend,

This Friday, November 13, thousands around the world will be wearing purple in honor of the 2nd annual World Pancreatic Cancer Day. We need Congress to join us in helping spread awareness on that special day.

Please send a message to your members of Congress today asking them to wear purple on November 13 and post a picture of themselves holding an “It’s Time to Wage Hope” card on Facebook or Twitter. The message to Congress includes our appeal that they increase federal funding for medical research in fiscal year 2016.

Contact your elected officials on social media, too! Find your members of Congress on Facebook and Twitter along with sample messages you can send to them.

Last year, nearly 40 lawmakers wore purple on World Pancreatic Cancer Day and posted their pictures online helping create awareness about the disease both in Congress and around the country. Let’s double that number this year to draw the world’s attention to the need for greater awareness, funding and research for pancreatic cancer.

Sincerely,

Megan Gordon Don
