Demand Better
For Patients. For Survival.

The WPCD Committee has been hard at work since the meeting in Montreal. As we discussed at the meeting, Demand Better is the theme for World Pancreatic Cancer Day 2017. We received feedback about the need to clarify the Demand Better theme, so we added a tagline as seen above – For Patients. For Survival. The plan is to focus the campaign initially on educating the public about pancreatic cancer risk factors and symptoms. Better progress starts with early detection, and a key to earlier diagnosis is knowing the risk factors for pancreatic cancer and the signs and symptoms so patients can get to the doctor faster and start treatment.

We will launch the campaign on WPCD but then plan to continue it all year long. Our agency partner, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, is developing initial campaign assets (logo, branding guidelines, facts and figures, etc.) as well as an overview document that outlines key milestones and campaign assets you will receive leading up to WPCD 2017. The initial assets will be available at the end of July on the WPCD website, and two webinars are planned for Thursday, Aug. 3, to review these materials. Please join one at the time most convenient for you.
