WPCC Annual Meeting 2018 – Another Great Year!
Thank you to all who joined us for the WPCC Annual Meeting in Coral Gables. It was our biggest gathering yet, with over 70 participants representing 40 member organizations from 22 countries. It was a packed program covering everything from current developments in pancreatic cancer science to plans for our 2018 World Pancreatic Cancer Day campaign. Here are the presentations and a selection of photos. Remember to return your travel reimbursement form with receipts by June 11 to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. AACR Special Pancreatic Cancer Conference Registration Opens
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Special Conference entitled "Pancreatic Cancer: Advances in Science and Clinical Care," is open for registration, and the AACR is offering free registration to up to 12 WPCC members. The conference is Sept. 21-24 in Boston, bringing together pancreatic cancer research and clinical experts from around the world. Complementary registration is on a first come, first served basis. If interested, please email Gail Drucker at gdrucker@pancan.org with the name, organization and email of the person who would like to attend at no charge. Do not try to register through the website. |

It's Time for Celgene ImpactPANC 2018 Competition
Celgene invites members of the WPCC to submit applications for consideration in its second ImpactPANC – a global competition designed to recognize and honor patient organizations that demonstrate excellence in crafting innovative solutions for patients and families living with pancreatic cancer. The topic for this year's competition is, "Supporting the Needs of Caregivers in Pancreatic Cancer." Five prizes of the equivalent of $20,000 USD each will be awarded to five organizations. Learn more and submit your application at impactpanc.com by Friday, July 13, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

This is open to all members of the Coalition, but we are especially interested in ensuring that the Steering Committee has strong representation from different countries. World Pancreatic Cancer Day Is an Award Finalist
We are thrilled that Hill+Knowlton's work on behalf of World Pancreatic Cancer Day 2017 has been named a Silver Anvil Awards finalist by the Public Relations Society of America in two categories: Global Communications; and Events and Observances. The Silver Anvil Awards are recognized as the most prestigious and iconic awards in the communications industry. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on June 7, 2018, in New York City. Larry Krutchik, managing director at H+K, said: "Everyone involved in WPCD 2017 and the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition should take great pride in this recognition, so please relay our appreciation and gratitude."
